Children & Adolescent Health

Our team of pediatricians and nurse practitioners are here to help as your child grows, with services from birth through the age of 18.We promote your child’s health through:

Infant and Child care

  • Newborn exams
  • Well-child visits/physicals

  • Treatment of illnesses and infections
  • Management of chronic diseases like asthma, obesity, and allergies
  • Hearing and vision exams
  • Dental screenings and referrals to our Dental team

Additional Support for Adolescents and teens

We support your child’s changing health needs as they grow with:

  • Sports physicals
  • Childhood obesity
  • Referrals to our Behavioral Health team for counseling and emotional support

We have a broad referral network of health providers if your child needs specialized pediatric services.

We also offer preventative services and screenings like:

  • Recognition of childhood obesity and offer guidance for weight control
  • Counseling for healthy eating habits and exercise
  • Age-appropriate screenings for elevated lead levels and anemia
  • Tuberculosis screenings, as well as latent and active treatments for tuberculosis
  • We help parents recognize signs of depression and anxiety to provide appropriate and timely referrals to our Behavioral Health clinic or one of our trained psychiatrists
  • Screenings for elevated cholesterol levels
  • HIV screenings starting at age 15 or per risk factors

  • Healthy Start: Our Healthy Start program helps connect pregnant moms with important resources such as parenting education, diapers, and more.
  • WIC: Our WIC team is here to help you learn important nutrition education and provide support with buying healthy food for your family.

Telehealth

Telehealth visits are a great option to meet with a Sam Rodgers provider from the comfort of your own home. However, not all medical needs can be addressed during a telehealth visit. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. If you don’t have insurance, we can help you apply or we will determine a cost based on your income and family size. We will never deny health care if a patient is unable to pay.
