Shannon Johnston is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in social services since 1993.  She has her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and has been providing counseling services since 1998.  Since receiving her license, Shannon has devoted herself to working in Kansas City’s diverse urban core.  As such, she is very experienced working with individuals of all ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds.  With over 20 years of experience, Shannon enjoys working with her patients and helping them to overcome their Behavioral Health struggles.

Types of Visits

Shannon specializes in the treatment of behavioral health issues resulting from Anxiety, Depression, relationship problems, and domestic violence.  In addition, she specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Shannon is trained in a multitude of treatment and therapeutic modalities, but specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy.
